Laura Trethewey is an award-winning journalist and author of The Imperiled Ocean: Human Stories from a Changing Sea (Pegasus Books 2019, Goose Lane Editions 2020). She lives in San Diego where she writes for The Guardian, San Diego Union Tribune, Hakai Magazine and The Globe and Mail. She is writing her second book about the race to map the global seafloor, due out from Harper Wave and Goose Lane Editions in 2023.
