Together with my GIS partner Megan Prescott, I have been publishing regional bathymetry compilations of Alaska for fisheries research. Our 2018 map of the eastern Bering sea slope, and description of the canyons, is available at Geosciences (doi.org/10.3390/geosciences8050184). Our map of the western Gulf of Alaska was also published at Geosciences (doi.org/10.3390/geosciences9100409) along with an interpretation of the ice extent from the Last Glacial Maximum. We derived new locations, sizes, and depths of the passes of the Aleutian Islands in Fisheries Oceanography earlier this year (http://dx.doi.org/10.1111/fog.12517; http://dx.doi.org/10.1111/fog.12519). We continue to seek new data sets towards finishing a map of Alaska, and biological and physical applications of our bathymetry products.
